We are getting excited to welcome you to campus for the Winter term.
The following information will help ensure your move-in goes as smoothly as possible and please reach out to housing@uwindsor.ca if you have any additional questions or will need additional assistance for move in.
Move-in will take place on Sunday, Jan 4th, 2026 between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm EST
Check-In will take place at:
- Housing and Residence Life Office - Vanier Hall, Room 49
- Use this address if you are using a GPS: 2585 Wyandotte St W, Windsor, ON. This address is for the area across the street and we are located across from it - U shaped driveway
- Sunday, January 4th between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm EST
- Move-in will not take place after 5:00 pm EST. on Sunday, January 4th
- There will be no move-ins on Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays, other than Sunday January 4th, 2026
Process:
- Have PHOTO ID ready.
- Once you have checked-in you will be directed to your assigned residence hall
- Move-in carts will be available at your assigned residence hall

- Cleaning Supplies
- Computer / Laptop
- Cooking supplies, ie. a pot, a pan, dishes, utensils
- Damage-Free Adhesive
- Extension Cord / Power Bar
- Hangers
- Headphones / Earbuds
- Important Documents (School Letters, Health Card, Passport)
- Laundry Supplies
- Linens & Towels (see Residence Hall info page for bed size)
- Medications
- Personal toiletry items, ie shampoo, soap, toothbrush, deodorant, etc.
- Toilet paper (Cartier, Alumni, & Rodzik Halls)
- Seasonal appropriate gear, ie. rain, sun, snow, etc.
- School Supplies (Pens, Notebooks, Binders)
- Shower Curtains and Hooks for Alumni, Cartier and Rodzik Halls
- Small appliances (ex. coffee maker, toaster can be used in the kitchen/ kitchenettes in all buildings
- Water Bottle - Reusable
Alumni Hall Only:
- Trivet (Silicone)
- up to 3 small appliances (ex. kettle, air fryer)

We want you to make your new space feel like home but, the following items are NOT permitted:
- Candles / Incense
- Furniture
- Halogen Lamp
- Illegal Items
- Individual Glass Alcohol Bottles
- Fridge and Large Appliances
- Scotch Tape
- LED Light strips / tape
