Extension of Stay Past Term End Date – Summer Term

Note: We do not approve extension requests at end of summer term unless you are a move over student staying in residence in between terms.

You are required to submit an Extension Request Form if:

You are staying in residence between the Summer and Fall term (have a room assignment);

Refer to the email sent regarding Extension Requests for the deadline date. There will be a charge for late requests ($100).

If you are a move over student, move over dates will vary. We encourage you to remain on campus, as you will move to new room assignment as soon as the room as ready and it will be PRIOR to move in today. Once you receive notice, you will have 24 hours to move.

Is there a cost to stay in residence in between terms?

Yes, you will be charged the summer move-over academic rate of $25 per day (from end of summer contract to start of fall contract).

When will I hear if my request is approved or denied?

The decisions are typically sent out within a week of receiving your request.

Are there quiet hours during exams and are there quiet hours violations?

Are overnight guests allowed during exams?

No, overnight guests are not allowed. Refer the Residence Community Standards to review the Guest Policy.

Extending Your Stay – Fee Information

Non-academic request - $50/day
Academic request - $25/day
Summer move-over’s - $25/day
Late Request - $100

If you are found living in residence without an approved extension, you will be charged a $125 fine + the applicable extension fee.
