Once you have activated the accommodations, your advisor will ensure that the accommodation letter is sent to your instructors.
It is your responsibility to schedule all tests, quizzes, midterms and final exams in accordance with our Scheduling Policy.

Every student with a documented disability has the following Rights:
- Equal access to courses, programs, services, jobs, activities, and facilities available through the University of Windsor.
- Reasonable and appropriate accommodations, intended to eliminate disability-related barriers while maintaining the fundamental requirements of the course. In contrast, modifications alter the delivery of the course or its academic expectations, which falls outside the purview of Student Accessibility Services.
- Confidentiality of all information pertaining to the condition(s) with the choice of whom to disclose disability-specific information to, except as required by law.

Every student has the Responsibility to:
- Meet the university’s qualifications and essential technical, academic, and institutional standards, including the Student Code of Conduct.
- Identify oneself as an individual with a disability to Student Accessibility Services when seeking accommodation(s).
- Register each semester when requesting accommodations using our AIM system
- Provide documentation from a registered medical professional that verifies functional limitations, and the need for specific accommodations; answer questions or provide information regarding relevant restrictions or limitations, including information from health care professionals, where appropriate.
- Participate respectfully in a collaborative process with SAS staff, faculty, and other University resources as indicated to obtain and coordinate reasonable and appropriate accommodations.

Such breaches include but are not limited to the sharing or receipt of exam content or related information with other students through personal communication, electronic communication, or social media platforms.
Alternative Format
Many students with learning disabilities,visual disabilities, or certain mobility impairments may be interested in obtaining their textbooks and other materials in alternate formats (alt-format) as an auxiliary aid to assist them with their reading and coursework.

Leddy Library Learning Annex
The Learning Annex is a private, quiet space in the Leddy Library where students registered with SAS can study.
The Leddy Library Annex houses computers with connectivity to University of Windsor systems including the Leddy’s Integrated Library System Omni, and is located in Room G104 basement floor of the main building.
Students who are registered with Student Accessibility Services may access the Learning Annex by requesting access each term. Once term registration is confirmed, your UWindsor student card will be programmed for personal swipe card access for secure entry.
