Overview

Laboratory facilities that work with agents of moderate risk to both personnel and the environment require Level 2 containment. BSL-2 laboratories have specific containment devices, administrative controls, and practices/procedures to maximize safe working conditions.

This training program provides participants with key information on biological safety management, handling pathogens, biological safety cabinets, cell lines, spill response, and how to work with small animals within BSL-2 labs. All individuals who work within BSL-2 labs must complete this training program.

At the end of the of the presentation you will be required to take a brief quiz. You must score 80% on all quizzes and the final exam to successfully complete the course.

Computer Requirements

This course can be taken from either a PC or MAC. Minimum requirements are:

  • An internet connection
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
  • Speakers to hear the audio
