H-bridge for PCV / VCV actuation

H-Bridge Drivers

H-bridge drivers are electronic circuits which enable voltage signals to be applied across the load in opposite directions. It can enable the DC motors to run in both forward or backward directions. In the CCEL, the VNH2SP30 motor driver carrier MD01B made by Pololu is used for the actuation of fuel Pressure Control Valve (PCV),  fuel Volume Control Valve (VCV), and an electronic throttle body. Some key technical specifications of the MD01B can be found below:

Key Specifications:

  • Motor channels:1
  • Operating voltage: 5.5 ~ 16 V
  • Continuous output current per channel: 14 A
  • Peak output current per channel: 30 A
  • Maximum PWM frequency: 20 kHz
