AQ and IB Course Withdrawals and Refunds

Withdrawals

You are academically and financially responsible for your course(s) once you register, unless you withdraw officially within 14 days of the course start date for winter and summer semesters and within 7 days for spring and fall semesters.  The drop date will be listed on your enrollment receipt.

No refunds will be issued after the drop deadlines.  Students are no longer eligible for a refund after the drop date and are not able to transfer fees to another course or semester. 

Please note that if you withdraw within the deadline, you will still incur a $50.00 non-refundable administration fee. 

We understand that there are situations that may arise that require special accommodations. Therefore, prior to choosing to withdraw, contact aq@uwindsor.ca  to discuss your situation. Please be advised that the $50.00 administration fee will be withheld.

If you withdrawal after the withdrawal late deadline, or if you do not complete the course work, you will receive a final grade of Incomplete or an F.

 

Procedure

Log in to your Continuing Education account External Link. If you forget your password click on the forgot password link. In your student account there will be a withdrawal button. Withdrawals cannot be reversed once you proceed.

Refunds

Non-refundable amounts – (before OR after the course starts)
$50.00 administration fee
$50.00  Proficiency Test fee (if applicable)

Course Cancellations

The University of Windsor reserves the right to cancel course offerings and to change locations and dates. Candidates will be notified of any cancellations and a full refund including the non-refundable amounts will be issued.

How Do I drop a course?

  • Login to registration site using your UWinID and password.
  • Registration site - https://register.continue.uwindsor.ca/
  • There is a menu on the left.
  • Select My enrollment History option
  • There is a request drop button.  Select the button.
  • Select on-screen prompt regarding reason for dropping course.
  • Select submit.
  • The drop request notification will be submitted to the Faculty of Education.  Once the notification has been received, the drop will be processed.
  • There is a $50.00 drop fee if you drop after the course start date.
  • If you request a drop after the semester drop deadline, you are not eligible for a refund.
  • All refunds will be processed to the credit card that the payment was made.  If this card is no longer valid, contact aq@uwindsor.ca.
