Poetry reading by Dennis Teichman and Tyrone Williams

Join us for a special poetry reading by Detroit-connected poets Dennis Teichman and Tyrone Williams, this Saturday Jan 20, 4:00 PM, Common Ground Art Gallery, 3277 Sandwich St., Windsor, open to all. 

Dennis Teichman is a retired Local 324 operating engineer and Detroit area writer. Over the past decades he has been co-publisher, with Jim Wanless and Glen Mannisto, of Detroit River Press; radio host of WDET's Dimension, a program featuring writing and music; and with Deborah King and Paul Schwarz, a co-founder and publisher of Past Tents Press, a press dedicated to publishing Detroit area writers. He has two books of poetry, Edge to Edge, and V-8 and has published in Dispatch Detroit, XCP, Jennifer Heath's Water,Water Everywhere, and various anthologies.

Tyrone Williams teaches literature and theory at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the author of several chapbooks and five books of poetry: c.c., On Spec, The Hero Project of the Century, Adventures of Pi and Howell. A limited-edition art project, Trump l’oeil, was published by Hostile Books in 2017. A new book of poetry is forthcoming from Omnidawn Publishing, As Iz, in fall 2018.
