The International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) released it's report today entitled "Great Lakes Revivial" - How restoring polluted waters leads to rebirth of Great Lakes communities. The report was authored by scientists in Canada and the U.S, including Dr. John Hartig, Visiting Scholar at GLIER.
The report outlines through case studies on both sides of the Canada/U.S. border how polluted and abused waterways can be rehabilitated, and allow for community and economic revitalization to the areas that surround the Great Lakes
