Windsor Essex Sewing Force Donates thousands of masks to frontline workers

The Windsor Essex Sewing Force has partnered with GLIER, Dept. of Biomedical Sciences, St. Clair College, and front line health care workers, to provide home made masks to healthcare workers and other community members. A study is being undertaken to determine the best fabrics to use, and the best design to ensure reliable, consistent quality masks.  Recently the group got a nod from Windsor's Mayor, Drew Dilkens, thanking the group for their hard work and efforts to keep Windsor-Essex safe.  Dr. Ken Drouillard at GLIER is heading up the research project thanks to a WE-Spark grant.
