The State of the Strait, a binational organization that examines the ecosystem of the Detroit River and the Western Basin of Lake Erie, has released its report addressing the eight most pressing challenges facing the ecosystem. From loss of habitat, pollution, and invasive species among other things, the report details the current state of the strait.
