RAEON monitoring the health of the Great Lakes

Reasearchers at RAEON are using a Slocum glider Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) to monitor conditons such as low oxygen levels and harmful algal blooms in real time over long periods of time in Lake Erie.  This allows researchers to collect continuous data, which is more informative than periodic data collected during standard data collection trips using boats and traditional sampling methods.
