Early detection of COVID is crucial to preventing the spread of the virus. Dr. Mike McKay is part of a team of researchers at the University of Windsor and beyond that were awarded federal funding from CIHR to continue studying the early dectection of the virus in wastewater samples across the community. Windsor/Essex is a unique community because of it's proximity to the United States, and as a border town has unique circumstances in terms of influx of people, and community spread of the virus.
