Dr. Tina Semeniuk received an Emerging Scholar award, and was recognized for her Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science Early Researcher Award.
Dr. Aaron Fisk, GLIER/Earth and Environmental Sciences, received the Graduate Mentoring Award at the recent Faculty of Science's Faculty, Staff and Student Awards ceremony.
Chemistry student Karly Dominato, supervised by GLIER/chemistry professor Dr. Scott Mundle, received the Going Above and Beyond in Research Award recently for her many achievements so early in her Master's degree.
Dr. Mike McKay is welcomed to GLIER as the new Director. Dr. McKay has come from Bowling Green State University to lead GLIER's collaborative research adressing complex challenges to the Great Lakes.
Dr. Oliver Love, researcher at GLIER and Biology has had his Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Integrative Ecology renewed for another 5 years. This presitigious award is given to researchers who are deemed outstanding by their peers.
UWindsor GLIER researchers Weisener and Mundle will study how greenhouse stormwater retention ponds affect the surrounding environment.
