The St Denis Centre will be closed until further notice as we continue to support social and physical distancing to reduce opportunities for the spread of COVID-19.

The Human Kinetics parking lot (Lot H) will be closed from July 13 to August 14. Stadium (Lot G) can be used during this time.

Lancer Sport and Recreation Centre Overview

The University of Windsor is thrilled to have started construction in the fall of 2019 on a new $73 million Lancer Sport and Recreation Centre (LSRC) that will offer a modern space to foster athletic excellence and support quality recreational services for thousands of students and the Windsor-Essex community at large. With an expected completion date of Fall 2022, the new Lancer Sport and Recreation Centre will include:

  • A new Triple gymnasium, with seating for approximately 2,500 spectators
  • A new 13,000 square foot fitness area - triple the size of the current facility
  • A new eight-lane, 25 metre pool
  • Refurbished outdoor fields
  • Several new multipurpose areas
  • New VIP lounge
  • Social spaces and food outlet
