Nursing faculty members receive several grants and awards

April 23, 2012 - Nursing Faculty members are recognized for several recent achievements:

1) Jamie Crawley - received the prestigious MNRS Dissertation Award during the MNRS conference in Dearborn, Michigan.

2) Susan Fox and Debbie Rickeard on their successful receipt of the UW Women's research grant

3) Debbie Dayus and Jamie Crawley on their receipt of the CLIF grant

Professors recognized for years of service

Congratulations to Drs. Laurie Carty and Susan Fox, who were recognized at the Years of Service reception at the University of Windsor on December 8, 2011 - Dr. Carty for 30 years of service, and Dr. Fox for 10 years of service.

Researchers hope findings on local childhood obesity rates will get kids healthier and more physically active.

Two UWindsor researchers hope their recent study findings on local childhood obesity rates will help area health officials hammer home their message that kids need to eat healthier and get more physical activity. “Now that we have local data we’re really hoping that we can tailor some health promotion strategies and programs to the information that we obtained,” said Sarah Woodruff, an assistant professor in kinesiology.
