- Student Illness Policy : Medical notes will be required if:
- a student misses more than 2 clinical days (in years 2, 3, and 4) and more than 1 clinical day (Year 1) during a semester (medical note is required for additonal missed days). Reaching the maximum allowable missed clinical days will prompt a meeting with a student, instructor, and clinical lead regarding risk of possible consequences of additional missed days.
- a student misses more than 2 lab days ( in years 1 and 2) or more than 1 lab day (in years 3 or 4) during a semester (medical note is required for additional missed days). Reaching the maximum allowable missed lab days will prompt a meeting with student, lab instructor, and lab lead regarding risk of possible consequences of additional missed days.

The Clinical Learning Centre consists of :
- The General Nursing Lab:
- One health assessment lab (located in the Dr. Murray O'Neil Medical Education Centre)
- Two skills practice labs (located in Anthony P. Toldo Health Education Centre)
- A computer centre equipped with 25 computers (located in Anthony P. Toldo Health Education Centre)
- An extensive selection of health promotion materials, resources and model

- The simulation lab uses a team of registered nurses that have strong clinical backgrounds as well as expertise in simulation education.

- Tuition Support Program for Nurses - offers tuition reimbursement to recent nursing graduates from rural and remote communities who are new College of Nurses of Ontario registrants and who choose to do a return-of-service in an eligible underserviced community. - Want to prepare for the NCLEX and want information, visit NCLEX practice examinations/nclex-rn. Please continue to check the College of Nurses site to find updates regarding when you are eligible to write your NCLEX. As a reminder, students need to complete the BScN program and have an offer of employment before they are able to apply for a temporary licence.

- Tutoring Program (Faculty of Nursing)
- The role of the Faculty of Nursing is to facilitate a connection only between students who are eligible to tutor and students who request a tutor. Tutors can charge students up to $20.00/hour. Tutors are available for all required nursing courses.
