Research Interests/Focus

  • I have a sustained interest in health systems, leadership, work environment and health policy.
  • My research focuses on improving the lives of older adults living in residential long-term care and the quality of work life of their care providers. I have particular interests in contributing to our understanding of how clinical microsystems (i.e., clear leadership and process improvement) can guide and support practice innovation and performance in long-term care.
  • My work draws from, and aims to contribute to, the literature on leadership and organizational performance.
