Tim Brunet is Coordinator of Outstanding Scholars and Student Leadership at the University of Windsor, where he develops high-impact opportunities for students to strengthen their research, leadership, and communication skills. He works with students, faculty, and campus partners to build experiences that connect academic excellence with public engagement.

His portfolio includes supporting the Outstanding Scholars program, helping students access research placements, and advancing signature initiatives that raise the visibility of undergraduate scholarship across disciplines. He also chairs UWill Discover, a multi-platform student research initiative that includes a conference, podcast, and journal.

Tim’s work is grounded in student development, leadership education, and the belief that talented students thrive when they are challenged, mentored, and given opportunities to contribute meaningfully to academic and community life.

Tim Brunet holds a PhD in Higher Education and Leadership from the University of Toronto. His academic and professional interests include student development, leadership, communication theory and practice, human capability, undergraduate research, and the design of high-impact educational experiences.

Research and student success interests

Tim is especially interested in how universities can create ambitious, student-facing opportunities that help learners grow in capability, confidence, and contribution. His work often brings together ideas from leadership studies, higher education, undergraduate research, and public scholarship.
