Dr. Kichler earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Child Psychology, from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
She completed her Pre-doctoral Internship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and her Post-doctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
She was previously employed at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio as a pediatric psychologist for almost 15 years. She has been a faculty member at the University of Windsor as a member of the Child Psychology track since 2020.
Her primary research interests include: Health Psychology (Pediatric); Psychosocial adjustment and coping with medical conditions (especially type 1 diabetes) in youth and families; Diabetes care and education
