Extension of Stay Past Term End Date – Fall Term

You are required to submit an Extension Request Form if:

  • You are staying in residence over entire the December Holiday Recess;
  • You will be returning to residence early (before start of winter term).

Refer to the email sent regarding Extension Requests for the deadline date. There will be a charge for late requests ($100).

If you have an approved request, there is no additional charge to stay in residence over the December Holiday Recess.  You must be approved to stay in your residence room at some point throughout the recess.

If you are returning for the winter term, leave your belongings in your room.  Be sure to bring your room keys with you for your return back to campus.

Yes, a Holiday Assistant will be on duty.

For a lock out, repair/maintenance issues during the December Holiday Recess, call the Holiday Assistant or the Special Constables at extension 1234.

  • Clean and tidy your room, ie. Remove garbage, remove perishable items from fridge, etc.
  • Turn fan blowers (heat) to low/or thermostats down to 60F or 15C. Do not turn off.
  • Turn off small appliances, ie. Fan, radio, desk light, etc.
  • Close window(s) and turn off all lights.
  • Lock your door and bring your key home with you.
