Housing Extension - End of Winter Term

End of term move out deadline is within 24 hours of your last exam OR by 11am of the alternate exam date, whichever comes first.

You are required to submit an Housing Extension Request Form if:

  • You need a few extra days after your last exam
  • You have a summer room assignment and need to stay in residence in between terms

If you are unsure of your move-out date, you may contact housing@uwindsor.ca to confirm the date.

When available, the Housing Extension Request Form will be in the StarRez Portal.

Housing Extension Fees

  • Non-academic request - $50/day
  • Academic request - $25/day
  • Summer move-over’s - $25/day
  • Late Request - $100

If you are found living in residence without an approved extension, you will be charged a $125 fine + the applicable extension fee.

FAQ’s

Yes, there is a deadline. For further information including the deadline date, refer to the email sent via StarRez regarding Extension Requests. There is a $100 charge for late requests.
The decisions are typically sent out within a week of receiving your request.

No, overnight guests are not allowed. Refer the Residence Community Standards to review the Guest Policy.
