Have you ventured into the wacky world of AI yet?
This session will give you some issues to think about and tools to assist you in using AI. Before retiring I developed a very successful news and information literacy course —even wrote a book about it (https://www.peterlang.com/document/1282575). With all the attention AI is getting, I thought about how I would integrate an AI element /assignment into the course if I were teaching it today. We will use this session to share our experiences with AI to this point, try a mini assignment which compares "traditional” search with using AI. The intent of the session is to convey that either of these approaches requires substantial critical thinking and analysis.
