Onyi Akpovwovwo, EDID Committee Ignite Student 2024-2025
Hello, my name is Onyi. My role with the EDID committee as a student assistant has mostly involved knowledge synthesis and event planning. Being a part of the committee has enlightened me on the challenges and struggles of marginalized groups in the department, further fueling my passion and commitment for advocacy and social justice. As a member of the black community, I find satisfaction knowing that my role in the committee helps bring our voices to light and promote an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected in the school of social work. I am truly honored to be part of something great.

Tracy Lee, EDID Student Representative 2024-2025
Hi! I’m Tracy Lee (She/Her), a first-year MSW/JD student! I am excited to share that I have been granted the opportunity to be part of the EDID Committee this year! This opportunity is significant to me, as someone who is half Taiwanese and half Hong Konger. My heritage has given me a unique understanding of the challenges and strengths of navigating various cultural identities. This leads to a passion for advocating for inclusion within our community here at UWindsor. I hope to learn from my peers, contribute my perspectives, and collaborate with others to work towards EDID's goals.
