Welcome to the Odette School of Business. Whether you are a prospective or current student, alum, member of the academic or the business community, we welcome you and are excited to engage with you. In Odette, we pride ourselves in our rich history and impressive achievements. Founded in 1953, the Odette School of Business offers various undergraduate and graduate programs including Bachelor of Commerce (BComm), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Management (MoM), and Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degrees. There are also a variety of co-op placements available for BComm students, allowing them to gain valuable work experience as part of their degree requirements. Additionally, there are a variety of societies and clubs available for students to join, each with their outstanding accomplishments. For the Fall 2023 semester, we are looking to welcome over 300 undergraduate students to Odette. Thirty-five of those students will be coming internationally from a wide range of countries including China, India, Lebanon, Nigeria, Vietnam, and many more. In all, we have over 1900 students, including 1000 Undergraduate and 800 Graduate students. Students in Odette enjoy small class sizes, increasing one-on-one engagement with their professors. To allow for our small class sizes, we have 66 full-time faculty members in various business areas: Accounting, Finance, Management & Labour Studies, Marketing, Strategy & Entrepreneurship, and Supply Chain Management & Business Data Analytics. Odette graduates have seen amazing success in all walks of life across the globe. Graduates have had a 92% employment rate as of Fall 2022. We have graduated many notable alumni who are working in leading roles both in the private and the public sector.
We have an extraordinary group of faculty members who are not only committed to providing quality education, but also making an impact in their respective fields through research. Over the past 5 years, Odette faculty received 11 best paper awards and published 232 peer-reviewed journal articles in prestigious journals. Odette also achieved AACSB accreditation in May 2015 which placed it among the 7% of business schools world-wide holding this highly prized accreditation.
Our exceptional staff is pivotal to our success and is devoted to providing the support students need before, during, and after finishing their various business degree programs. Odette takes pride in housing the Odette Student Success Centre – the only one of its kind on campus to provide full student services through academic advising, club relations and career services.
