Laboratory Safety Training for Researchers

All personnel and students working in a laboratory setting should take the Laboratory Safety Training for Researchers. This safety training is offered in-class only (duration 3 to 5-hour) and is taught by CCC team members. [NOTE: The training is currently provided through MS Teams]

The training will provide overview of laboratory safety requirements. Topics of discussion include: the recognition and mitigation of laboratory hazards; the use of engineering controls, administrative controls and personal protective equipment; working safety with chemicals, biological and radioactive materials, the use of SDSs, procedures for disposing of hazardous waste and safety resources available for the laboratory personnel.
