Business student recognized for youth leadership

Kristy McLean says she was “very honoured” to receive a Youth Leadership Award from Windsor’s mayor during a riverfront celebration of the 121st anniversary of the city’s founding, May 20.

“I am very appreciative to be recognized for contributing to the quality of life and standard of living of our community,” says McLean, just finished her third year of studies at the Odette School of Business and just beginning a term as president of its Enactus chapter.

Agreement to strengthen ties with Indian university

A memorandum of understanding between the University of Windsor and the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management will broaden global contacts and build partnerships for both schools, says Diana Kao, UWindsor associate vice-provost, international.

A delegation from the school, located in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, visited the UWindsor campus in April. The visit culminated in a ceremony to mark a formal agreement to seek opportunities for cooperation, including faculty and student exchange and research collaborations.

When the University hosts a classic car show, September 21, during its 50th anniversary Weekend Celebration, Andrew Templer will be there.

A professor at the Odette School of Business, he is also the proud owner of a 1968 Wolseley 6/110. He purchased the car during a sabbatical in his native South Africa in 1991.

Limited-term appointment available for learning specialist in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management of Technology

The Faculty of Engineering and the Odette School of Business invite applications for a joint two-year limited-term ancillary academic staff – learning specialist position in the area of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management of Technology commencing as early as May 1.

This position is subject to final budgetary approval. To ensure full consideration, applications should be submitted by April 15.
