Mitra Mirhassani is an associate professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Windsor. Her research interests include Nueromorophinc Engineering, Arithmetic optimization, and Hardware security.
Mitra Mirhassani is a senior member of IEEE, and is serving as the Associate Editor for IEEE Access Journal, guest Associate Editor of IEEE Transaction on Computer Aided Design. She served as the vice-chair for Women in Engineering Affinity Group, IEEE South - East Michigan section until 2014, and currently is the Advisor for the WIE affinity group (SBA05331SB affinity group). She is a member of IEEE Circuit and System Technical Committee - Neural Systems and Application, and IEEE Canada Conference Editorial Board since 2015. She served as the Publication Chair for 2009 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology, Neural Network Track Co-Chair for 2016 and 2017 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, and Finance Chair for 2016 IEEE CCECE.
