With decreased provincial capacity for PCR Covid testing of individuals, wastewater testing for Covid in the community is having even greater importance than before. Covid can be detected in wastewater, and is a good indicator of community viral load. GLIER is currently conducting testing for the City of Thunder Bay, under the supervision of Dr. Mike McKay, Researcher and Executive Director of GLIER.
