First Nations School on Walpole Island opens new Fish Hatchery in Collaboration with University of Windsor/GLIER/FREC

Students at the Bkejwanong Kinomaagewgamig and Anishinaabeg Kinomaagewgamig Immersion School on Walpole Island will learn important skills and contribute to re-introduction of Lake Sturgeon at their new Fish Hatchery.  The project is a collaboration with the first nation and the University of Windsor, the Freshwater Restoration Ecology Centre (FREC) and Dr. Trevor Pitcher, faculty member at GLIER and Integrative Biology.
