WSIB and Return to Work

When an employee sustains an injury during the course of their employment, or experiences an illness caused by a condition of the workplace, the injury/illness must be reported via the Accident/Incident reporting process. Employee injuries or illnesses requiring medical attention or resulting in lost time from work are reported to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) by the Health and Safety office. Claims will be adjudicated by the WSIB and managed by Health and Safety.

If employees will be working outside of Ontario for over 6 months, they must notify the Health and Safety office, complete the WSIB coverage form here: Extended WSIB Coverage - Fillable Form.
