UWinsite People, the new Human Resources and Payroll system implemented by the University launches Phase 1 on January 6. It will transform how the University manages Human Resources (HR) and Payroll services, bringing important employee information into one centralized system. UWinsite People offers instant, secure access to HR and payroll information through a user-friendly self-serve portal. Moving to this new system reduces manual and paper-based processes, saving time, improving accuracy and reducing redundancies.
UWinsite People replaces systems such as VIP, MyAttendance, myUWinfo, ARAC for new position approvals and more. These legacy systems will be retired in 2025.

Update to the 2024 Years of Service Event for faculty members and staff. We are currently undergoing a transition to a new Human Resources and Payroll System (UWinsite People) that requires time and resources across several areas on campus. Due to the scale and importance of UWinsite People, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 2024 Years of Service recognition event to November 2025. We believe that when UWinsite People is launched in early January, we will be in a better position to properly honour those who have reached significant milestones in their careers at UWindsor. UWindsor’s current employees and recent retirees who achieved a milestone year will be invited to the celebration. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We are committed to celebrating your service and contributions in a meaningful way when we gather in November 2025.

The minimum wage in Ontario will increase to $17.20 effective October 1, 2024. Please note that hourly rates for student staff working within a Faculty or Department that has adopted the online version of the Authorization to Hire a Student will be automatically updated to the new rate should their wage prior to October 1 be lower than $17.20 per hour. If you are still submitting timecards to Payroll by email, please ensure the new minimum wage rate of $17.20 per hour is included on all timecards effective October 1.
