John Cappucci

Dr. John Cappucci is the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Religion and Conflict at Assumption University.

He completed a doctorate from Carleton University, a Master of Arts degree from Queen's University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor.

John's refereed journal articles have appeared in several internationally-recognized publications, including the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, Journal of Shi'a Islamic Studies, and Fieldwork in Religion. He has also contributed 30 encyclopedia articles to several volumes, including most recently Islam: A Worldwide Encyclopedia. He has also published 16 book reviews in various national and international academic journals including, the Journal of Contemporary Religion, British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, Canadian Journal of Political Science, International Journal of Middle East Studies, and Contemporary Islam: Dynamics of Muslim Life.
