Downtown Windsor is gaining momentum as a hub for tech, entrepreneurship, and community collaboration.
That energy just got a boost with WEtech Alliance’s move into Windsor Hall — further embedding the organization in the heart of the city’s innovation corridor.
As of Aug. 1, WEtech Alliance has joined the University of Windsor’s downtown footprint, relocating to the second floor of Windsor Hall.
The move brings WEtech closer to the University’s Advanced Computing Hub and a network of community and innovation partners, strengthening an already deep-rooted collaboration between the two organizations.

“The University of Windsor has been a proud strategic partner of WEtech Alliance for many years — not just as a host institution, but as a collaborator in building a stronger, more connected tech and entrepreneurship ecosystem in our region,” says Tom Schnekenburger, vice-chair of the WEtech Alliance board and director of innovation, partnerships and entrepreneurship at the University of Windsor.
“From joint programming and talent development to pursuing collaborative funding opportunities, our work together has had real impact—and we’re excited to deepen that collaboration in this next chapter.”
The move aligns with the University’s Aspire strategic plan, which prioritizes regional engagement and partnership as a pathway to broader economic and social impact.
“Our move to Windsor Hall is about more than geography — it’s about proximity to purpose,” says Yvonne Pilon, president and CEO of WEtech Alliance. “Being embedded in the University of Windsor’s downtown footprint strengthens our ability to collaborate, convene, and co-create with students, researchers, and entrepreneurs. It’s the next chapter in a partnership that’s already shaped so much of the region’s innovation story — and we’re just getting started.”
