Organizers of the third annual #IAmSahraBulle conference are inviting proposals from facilitators, educators, artists, storytellers and creative leaders to host workshops at the 2025 event, taking place Nov. 26.

Established in honour of University of Windsor student Sahra Bulle, a victim of gender-based violence, the conference fosters dialogue, education and action to end violence in all its forms. It brings together survivors, youth leaders, educators, frontline workers and advocates.

Workshop proposals must be interactive, inclusive and trauma-informed, and align with the 2025 United Nations campaign theme: Towards 30 Years of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action: UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls. Sessions may explore policy, art, storytelling, education or healing-centred practices, with a focus on eradicating gender-based violence and advancing gender equity.

The conference is co-hosted by the Sahra Bulle Foundation—founded by Bulle’s mother, Fartumo Kusow—and the University of Windsor’s Office of the Vice-President, People, Equity and Inclusion.

The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, Sept. 19. For more information, email info@sahrabullefoundation.ca
