The University of Windsor has signed a five-year Exchange and Study Abroad Agreement with Université Jean Monnet (Saint-Étienne, France), creating new global learning and research opportunities for students and faculty.

The agreement allows up to four students per year from each institution to take part in reciprocal exchanges, with tuition paid at their home university. It also includes opportunities for language mentorship, where visiting Jean Monnet students may serve as French Language Mentors at UWindsor, while UWindsor students will benefit from English Language Lecturer exchanges in France.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to building strong global connections that enhance the student experience and enrich our academic community,” said Dr. Chris Busch, Associate Vice-President, Enrolment Management & Senior International Officer.

“International collaborations like this enrich our academic mission and directly benefit our students,” said Dr. Tanja Collet, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Head of the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.

“Learning alongside peers from France, engaging with different perspectives in language and culture, and gaining first-hand global experience are invaluable opportunities that prepare our students for today’s interconnected world.”

The collaboration will strengthen ties in arts, literature, and languages while supporting UWindsor’s broader international engagement goals.
