The new, purpose-built dining hall in the Rodzik Hall residence building is ready to welcome students, faculty and staff.
Doors opened Sunday, Nov. 23 for dinner service, marking the start of the All You Care to Enjoy (AYCTE) dining program at Rodzik Hall.
“Every station has something to love — from fresh pasta to salads to stir-fries made right before your eyes.”
AYCTE options include fresh, stone-fired pizza from a newly imported oven.
“It’s the first station you see when entering the food service area,” said Joseph Moore, general manager of Sodexo Campus Canada and UWindsor Food Services.
The new space features large tables for group dining, windowed walls and tall ceilings designed for a comfortable and social eating experience.
Allergy-conscious diners can enjoy peace of mind, with specialized offerings prepared in an isolated kitchen and served at a dedicated station.
In addition to meal plan holders, Moore says he’s pleased with the number of students, faculty and staff enjoying the AYCTE offering — a number expected to grow in its new Rodzik Hall home.
“There are no restrictions, so you can stick with your favourites or try a little bit of everything,” he said.
“People love the concept — and at $10 for breakfast, $15 for lunch and $19 for dinner, it’s great value.”
Moore offers a friendly reminder with a nod to sustainability.
“As always, eat as much as you want — but please, eat what you take.”
Several food options will be available outside of primary service hours including cereal stations, pizza, desserts and beverages.
