UWindsor research awards celebration coming this spring

This April, the University of Windsor will host the Research and Innovation Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions from across campus. 

Celebrating excellence in research, scholarship and creative activity, as well as initiatives that engage community, industry and government partners to advance the exchange of knowledge, technology and expertise, the event will highlight achievements across disciplines and career stages. 

“Research, scholarship and create activity are cornerstones of the University experience,” says Dr. Shanthi Johnson, vice-president research and innovation. 

“The Research and Innovation Excellence Awards honour those who advance knowledge and practice with discovery, collaboration and determination.” 

The Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation is now accepting nominations for 10 awards in the following categories: 

  • Outstanding Faculty Research and Innovation Awards at the early, mid-career, and established scholar levels  
  • Outstanding Student Research Awards at the undergraduate and graduate levels  
  • Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow  
  • Outstanding Staff Award  
  • Outstanding Impact and Creativity Award  
  • Inclusive Excellence Award 

The deadline for nominations submission is March 9.
