The University of Windsor is inviting nominations and self-nominations of individuals external to the University for consideration as an external member of its Board of Governors.
The Board Governance Committee is seeking candidates who can bring strong leadership, strategic and critical thinking, and diverse perspectives to the governance of a complex University community.
For the upcoming vacancy, the Board is particularly seeking an individual with significant knowledge and experience in finance and investment, including financial management in a complex not-for-profit organization, resource allocation, investment oversight, financial reporting, and interpreting financial statements and performance indicators.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the University’s mission and strategic priorities, along with integrity, respect, teamwork and enthusiasm.
Board members serve voluntarily and are expected to understand and fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities, maintain confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest, and contribute to the University’s fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
The Board welcomes candidates who can contribute to its diversity and bring an equity, diversity and inclusion, Indigeneity and decolonization lens to their work.
Nominations and self-nominations should include a resume, cover letter and completed self-identification form, emailed to bog@uwindsor.ca.
Submission deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 9.
