We are getting excited to welcome you to campus for the fall!
The following information will help ensure your move-in goes as smoothly as possible.
- All First-Year students are encouraged to arrive on Sunday, September 6
- Beyond First-Year students are encouraged to take advantage of the "Beat the Rush" early move-in days or to move-in starting on Tuesday, September 8, however they are allowed to move in on Sunday, September 6
- Students are asked to restrict their move-in helpers to two people maximum.
- Pets are not allowed in residence; please leave your pets at home.
Beat the Rush Early Move In – September 4 & 5
- This option is only available to Beyond First Students living in Alumni Hall, Laurier Hall floors 7-10 and Rodzik Hall rooms 302-344
- Check-in will be available on Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5
- You must sign up for a move in timeslot and receive confirmation of approval. At the beginning of August, schedule your move in timeslot by returning to this page.
Check-In will take place at:
Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5, 2026
- Main Housing & Residence Life office in Vanier Hall, room 49, use this address if you are using a GPS: 2585 Wyandotte St W, Windsor, ON
- Temporarily Park in the U-shaped driveway in front of Vanier Hall and enter through the main doors. You do not have to pay for parking while temporarily parked.
- Have Photo ID and check in QR code ready. Do not take a screen shot of the QR code, it will not work.
- Have phone with data available ready and charged as you will have to use it for check in

You can now pick a move-in timeslot for Beat the Rush Move-in for your assigned building for Sep 4 or 5 here
Check-In will take place at:
- CEI Parking Lot (Centre for Engineering Innovation)
- 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Click on your residence hall below to book a move-in time for Sunday, September 6
- Use this address if you are using a GPS: 700 California Ave, Windsor, ON
Process:
- At the beginning of August, schedule a move-in timeslot using the scheduling system below
- Check-in for all residents on move-in day (Sep 6) is drive-thru style and will occur in the parking lot of the CEI (Centre for Engineering Innovation)
- Drive your vechicle up to the tent for your assigned residence hall – do not get out of your vehicle
- Have PHOTO ID and CHECK-IN QR CODE ready. Do not take a screenshot of the QR, it will not work
- Have phone with data ready and charged as you will be required to use it for check-in
- Once you have checked-in you will be directed to your assigned residence hall
- Make sure you arrive as close as possible to your scheduled time frame
- Between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm volunteers with move-in carts will be available to assist First-Year students
- Carts are 39 1/2" L x 28 1/2" size or almost 18 cubic feet
- Move-in carts may not be available after 3:30 pm
- Limited carts will be available for Beyond First-Year students

Check-In on Sunday, September 6, 2026 (after 3:00pm):
- If you are delayed past 3:00 pm, the Housing and Residence Life Office is open until 7:00 pm - Vanier Hall, Room 49
- Use this address if you are using a GPS: 2748 Wyandotte St W, Windsor, ON. The office is located in the U shaped driveway
- The Housing and Residence Life Office will be closed on Monday, Sep 7
- Please select another day/time
- Move-in will not take place on Saturdays, Sundays nor Holidays, with the exception of Sunday Sep 13, 2026
- Complete the Late Arrival Form, it can also be found in the residence portal
- You will receive email confirmation of your approved late arrival
- Check-in will occur at the main Housing and Residence Life office in Vanier Hall, Room 49. Use this address if you are using a GPS: 2748 Wyandotte St W, Windsor, ON
- If you are approved for an after hours check-in you will be provided with instructions by email
- Temporarily Park in the U-shaped driveway in front of Vanier Hall and enter through main doors
- Have PHOTO ID and CHECK-IN QR CODE ready. Do not take a screenshot of the QR, it will not work
- Have phone with data available ready and charged as you will be required to use it for check-in
- If you are moving into Cartier Hall or Laurier Hall, you can remain parked in U-shaped driveway while you unload but must move your vehicle once you have completed your unloading
- If you are moving into Alumni Hall, you will proceed to the parking lot at the back of Alumni Hall once you have received your keys
- If you are moving into Rodzik Hall, you will pull into the driveway off of Patricia Rd
- Move-in carts may be available to sign out from your residence hall
- Carts are 39 1/2" L x 28 1/2" size or almost 18 cubic feet

We want you to make your new space feel like home, but the following are not permitted in Residence:

- Halogen Lamp

- Appliances are not permitted - (except for those listed in the What to Bring section)
- LED Light strips / Tape
- Mini-Fridge: You cannot bring your own and can only be rented through Coldex
