What is one word you would use to describe your exchange experience?
Unique

What is the worst thing that happened while you were on exchange? How did you deal with it?
The home sickness - but I spoke to someone about it and got more involved around campus. It took my mind off being away from home. I also reached out to other people from my home country who studied in the UK to see if they would be interested in hanging out. I’m glad I stuck it out.

Who was the hardest person to leave when you went on exchange? How did you deal with that?
My parents are alway the hardest to leave, but I got use to it as I’m an international student. I went from The Bahamas, to Canada, to the UK.

Who was the hardest person to leave that you met while on exchange? How did you deal with that?
My Romanian friend Bogdan. He was actually one of the first people I met and we hung out more than anyone else. We have stayed in touch through Facebook.

If you were to recommend exchange to your best friend, what would you say?
Don’t live your life wondering what if, make it happen! Studying abroad is such an amazing experience! You get to encounter parts of the world some people only dream of! It may be difficult at first, but it will definitely be worth it in the end, especially if you’re going to a place you’ve always wanted to go to.

Is there anything else you would like to share?
Exchange will NOT delay your graduation and your grades will NOT drop. In fact, my grades increased while exchange! Studying abroad helped my grades a lot!

What is something you know now that you wish you knew before you went on exchange?
Michelle was very thorough when telling us about exchange before we left. I took her advice seriously to ensure my exchange would run smoothly.
