How to Apply

Complete Application

A complete application consists of the following components:

  • ​ONLINE APPLICATION  <- click here for the application link and further instructions
     
    • Applications for an exchange starting in Winter 2026 are CLOSED
    • FALL 2026 Applications for an exchange starting in Fall 2026 became available around mid-October and are due by 15 Jan. 2026
    • WINTER 2027 - applications will bevome available mid-Summer 2026 
       
  • REDERENCE FORMS  - you need 3, including 1 from a professor who has taught you in a class
    - the forms are to be completed and returned directly to the Exchange Office by the referee (not given to the student)
    - make sure the referecne form that can be found on the UWindsor Exchange website is used (other forms and letters are not accepted)
     
  • Language assessment (if applicable)

General Application Deadlines

  • Students with complete application submissions by the specified date will be given first consideration for any exchange placements. 
  • A complete application consists of a submitted online application and three reference forms.
  • Late applications can continue to be accepted after the deadline, as long as there is both space and time remaining. 

Application Dates

January 15th (before 2 pm) - for a FALL semester exchange

  • Applications for the Fall semester are usually available online starting around mid-October.
  • Applications submitted after January 15th (i.e. late applications will only be considered if there is time and space.

September 15th (before 2 pm) for a WINTER semester exchange

  • Applications for the Winter semester are usually available online starting around mid-summer (+/- late June).

It is unlikely that late applications completed much after the deadline will be able to be accepted due to the shortened application line.
