You are asked to memorize a one-minute monologue in preparation for the workshop. You will be lead through a warm-up by a faculty member from the Acting program and we will coach you to help you prepare your monologue for an audition for theatre school.
It is best to choose a monologue that is active, one in which the character is trying to convince another character to do something that the other character may not want to do. Also, choose a character who is between the ages of 16 and 30 so you don’t have to worry about playing age. If you have questions, please contact Professor Lionel Walsh at firstname.lastname@example.org.
