Description: General Vertical Mill Model 75-880MI
General International Model 75-880M1 is a heavy-duty, farm-and-shop-grade vertical mill and drill machine designed for precision drilling, tapping, and light-to-medium milling tasks. Manufactured by General International, this "jack of all trades" machine features a robust cast-iron structure and a precision-ground T-slot work table to secure vises and workpieces.
Spindle Taper: Usually equipped with an industry-standard R8 spindle taper, allowing compatibility with common end mill holders, collets, and chuck arbors. Table Design: Heavy-duty cast iron cross-slide table featuring precision manual lead screws with handwheels for precise X-axis (longitudinal) and Y-axis (cross) travel. Quill Feed: Dual-action downfeed mechanism including a rapid-feed lever for drilling operations and a micro-fine downfeed dial for precise milling depth adjustments. Head Adjustments: The machine head can typically be raised, lowered, and swiveled on its column to accommodate larger workpieces or angular machining
