University and CUPE 1393 begin talks to negotiate tentative agreement

April 14, 2025

Representatives from the University of Windsor and CUPE 1393 have begun negotiations to renew the collective agreement. CUPE 1393’s collective agreement expired on March 31, 2025.

The parties’ bargaining teams met for the first time on April 11, 2025. They signed-off on ground rules which establish some protocols, took part in a financial literacy session, and agreed to additional meeting dates: April 23, May 8-9, and June 2-6.

The University respects the collective bargaining process and is committed to working collaboratively to reach a tentative agreement with CUPE 1393.

The goal is to reach a tentative agreement that is fiscally responsible and acceptable to both parties.
