Scantron form

The new course number format has made obsolete the Scantron forms used for computerized test scoring and student evaluation of teaching.

Direct any questions on replacing the existing forms to computing consultant Mathew Chandler at chandle@uwindsor.ca.

Statistics software and graphs

The University now has authorization codes to update the statistics software SPSS.

The current version is SPSS 25, available for download from the Software Depot. Users of the network version of SPSS will have received an expiry message indicating they are due for an update.

Wireless is being upgraded on campus at 6:00AM. There will a brief 15 minute outage during this process. 

IT Services will be performing network maintenance Friday January 18, 2019 from 5:30-7:30am. During this time, Blackboard will be unavailable and access to Internet may be interrupted. Other services may also be affected, such as GoPrint, vending machines and laundry.

If you continue to experience network problems after 8:00am, please contact the IT Service Desk at ext. 4440.

Information Technology Services staff will extend support into the upcoming holiday break, continuing to monitor enterprise systems remotely through the entire break and adding part-time shifts to address any priority concerns.

Dec. 27, 28, and 31, select staff from Operations and the Service Desk will attend to physically monitor systems and resolve any priority items. Full service will resume on Jan. 2.

“With so many new systems coming online recently, IT Services felt it was necessary to provided additional support to faculty and staff who may need to work with the system during the holiday break,” says assistant director Marcin Pulcer.

He reminds clients that the best way to receive service during the break is to log a service request or problem on www.uwindsor.ca/itshelp.
