“Like many members of the Canadian Association of Law Teachers (CALT), we appreciate and value being part of a community of educators across the country who care about teaching. When the call for the 2023 CALT Conference came out, under the broader Congress theme of “Reckonings and Reimaginings”, we leapt at this opportunity to collaborate on something together. After an initial meeting to discuss the particulars of what exactly that something would be, we settled on a reading group and roundtable focusing on the question of the comparative value of online and in-person legal education--a question that had been nagging at us individually for the past few years, and one that we suspected others were grappling with as well.”
