Lancer Recreation serves up fall pickleball classes

PickleballLancer Recreation is offering four weeks of fall pickleball classes in the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse, with beginner and intermediate sessions running Fridays from Sept. 19 to Oct. 10.

Whether you're chasing your first rally or sharpening your serve, Lancer Recreation’s fall pickleball classes offer a fast-paced and social way to stay active. 

The instructional series returns to the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse for four consecutive Fridays, beginning Sept. 19 and running through Oct. 10.  

Each week features two levels of instruction: beginner classes from 8 to 10 a.m., followed by intermediate sessions from 10 a.m. to noon. 

With only eight spots available per class, participants benefit from personalized coaching in a supportive environment.  

The cost is $100 per person, and registration is first-come, first-served. 

“This is a great way to get active, meet others, and learn a new sport,” says Giulia Barile Bernabo, intramurals and community programs assistant at Lancer Recreation. “Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your game, our instructor is ready to help.” 

Pickleball continues to gain momentum across Canada, drawing players of all ages with its accessible gameplay and community spirit. 

The Lancer Recreation series is designed to build foundational skills while promoting physical wellness and connection.
