Shark Tank-style ImpactPreneurs summer camp to give kids a taste of business

For kids with entrepreneurial aspirations outside of the lemonade stands of yore, a new summer camp at the University of Windsor offers a unique opportunity for learning and fun. 

Modelled on the popular Shark Tank television show, in which entrepreneurs pitch business ideas to a panel of investors, the ImpactPreneurs Shark Tank Summer Camp invites kids six to 13 years old to learn about business and teamwork while having fun.

The swimming lanes will be full, the spin studio will be buzzing and the running track will echo with beats and cheers on Sunday, March 29 as the Toldo Lancer Centre hosts the second annual Move for Mason Triathlon.

Presented by Exercise Is Medicine – On Campus and Lancer Recreation, the high-energy indoor event supports the Fight Like Mason Foundation and its work advancing childhood cancer programs in our community.

Toldo Lancer Centre holiday closure and winter programming update

The campus community is reminded that the Toldo Lancer Centre (TLC) will be closed from Dec. 24 until Jan. 2, 2026, reopening Saturday, Jan. 3.

TLC and Lancer Rec staff look forward to welcoming Lancers and community guests back for a new term of activity and recreation.

Winter programming is already gearing up.

Registration for intramural leagues is now open, featuring returning favourites alongside new leagues in pickleball, futsal and dodgeball.

Lancer Recreation serves up fall pickleball classes

PickleballLancer Recreation is offering four weeks of fall pickleball classes in the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse, with beginner and intermediate sessions running Fridays from Sept. 19 to Oct. 10.

Whether you're chasing your first rally or sharpening your serve, Lancer Recreation’s fall pickleball classes offer a fast-paced and social way to stay active. 

The instructional series returns to the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse for four consecutive Fridays, beginning Sept. 19 and running through Oct. 10.  

Each week features two levels of instruction: beginner classes from 8 to 10 a.m., followed by intermediate sessions from 10 a.m. to noon.
