On March 30, the University of Windsor’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Celebration recognized associate professor Jamie Crawley and clinical therapist Laura Little for their exceptional consideration and care for others.

As part of the UWindsor Pride team, they received awards in the Team/Committee category for their work with the 2SLGBTQIA+ campus community.

Both expressed gratitude for the entire committee's help, emphasizing that it is a group effort that involves listening to the needs and concerns of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and striving to make the campus a safe and comfortable environment for all.

Congratulations to Dr. Crawley, Laura Little, the rest of the team, and all who contribute to creating a secure learning and social atmosphere on campus.

Third-year nursing students Sarah Weber, Natalie Marentette and Kelly Scott discuss the importance of early childhood healthy habits and lifestyles at the Spring into Health fair held at Frank W. Begley elementary school.


Students and parents from Frank W. Begley elementary school gathered March 22 to learn from UWindsor nursing students about physical and emotional well-being as part of a “Spring into Health” fair. 

The fair is a component of a 12-week placement offered for third-year nursing students and forms an integral part of their curriculum since it teaches the students to understand, interact, and communicate effectively with youth in a community setting.

November 22, 2018: Nursing Assistant Professor Edward Cruz recently passed the Canadian Nurse Educator Certification Exam and now holds the Canadian Certified Nurse Educator (CCNE) designation.

The Canadian Nurse Educator Certification Program fosters excellence in the academic nurse educator role and provides recognition and merit for the specialized knowledge, expertise, and competencies of this role in Canada. The CCNE designation indicates that the recipient has completed academic training in nursing education and is prepared to offer exceptional teaching and learning initiatives.

August 28, 2018: Congratulations to Associate Professor Dr. Kathy Pfaff on receiving Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) funding for a two-year Operating Grant SPOR PIBCI Network- Comparative Program and Policy Analysis. She is one of four national Principal Investigators and the Ontario Lead exploring “An inter-provincial comparison of innovative programs that help individuals and families affected by life-limiting chronic illnesses navigate end-of-life. Total funding for the project is $233,422 with The CIHR contribution of $124,539.
