Help Lead Incoming Lancers for Welcome Week 2026!

Applications open from Monday, March 2nd until May 15th.

Faculty Leaders are often one of the first people new students connect with, offering guidance, encouragement, and a sense of belonging from the very start. As mentors and role models, they create spaces where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and building confidence as they adjust to university life. Their energy, empathy, and support help shape a positive and inclusive Welcome Week experience, while also giving leaders the opportunity to strengthen their own skills, gain experience, and grow as community builders.

Required Dates:

To be eligible for a Faculty Leader position, you are required to be available for the following dates:

Welcome Week Training: Friday, September 4th, 2026 - 9am-4pm

UWindsor Welcome Week: Sunday, September 6th – Wednesday, September 9th, 2026
Online consent training: all leaders are required to complete consent training prior to September. More information will be provided in the summer.

Time Commitment and Socials:

The total time commitment for the Faculty Leader positions ranges from about 20-30 hours total. The role also involves some light engagement throughout July and August (teambuilding, mentorship) which is all done online.

All Faculty Leaders are invited to the Orientation Leaders Socials in the Summer:
